Shilpi Misra

Shilpi Misra is a junior in high school, contributing part time for the climate crisis website, Inconvenient Youth. She is currently pursuing perfect SAT and ACT scores, looking into the admissions process of college, but still maintains an environmentally friendly lifestyle. She has tentatively decided that upon matriculation, she will major in journalism, with a focus on news journalism, specifically in the realm of politics, business and finance, and the environment. As of 2008, she completed an press and social media internship with CoolPeopleCare, a company that aims to connect non-profit organizations with the masses. With that experience, she began working with The Climate Project as a contributor, which led her to her current stint, as a blogger, and high school presenter with Inconvenient Youth. Shilpi enjoys learning and writing about her experiences and highlighting the strides that technology=has made with the environmentally-aware movement all across the world. Her usual rapport consists of a reference to her age demographic, certainly highlighting the ubiquity of all of the social media portals and the growth of technology for active participation. In addition, she focuses on irreverent current events that do not get much play, but are deserved of their time on someone’s News Feed. When she is not in school, Shilpi enjoys traveling and documenting her trips through writings and recordings. Ultimately, her main objective is to educate and connect any member of society to issues that affect all human beings.
