Congratulations to Davida Heller this weeks Climate Community Citizen of the Week!
Davida is a Sustainability Specialist and Founder/CEO of Ecospire, an
environmental sustainability consultancy, providing sustainable solutions for
homes, businesses and lifestyles. She is a LEED AP as well as a Certified Green
Building Professional and Green Point Home Rater through Build It Green. She is
also certified in Home Performance Testing through the CBPCA (California
Building Performance Contractor Association) Energy Star program.

Ecospire renders services to residential and commercial clients with a focus on
creating healthier living and working environments. Currently, Ecospire is
contracted by Science Applications International Corporation to administer
recycling consultation services for the Los Angeles County Smart Business
Recycling Program.
Davida started on the path to create Ecospire at a young age. As a child, she
insisted on coloring both sides of every piece of paper to do her share to save the
rainforests. Now she’s committed to doing much more on a daily basis, but still
believes changing the world begins with making the choice to be a part of the
solution and taking one step at a time towards making a difference.
Along with her green building certification, Davida brings to Ecospire over ten
years of experience working in project development with high-end clients in the
entertainment industry. She began her career at Creative Artists Agency as
Executive Assistant for Literary Agent, John Campisi and then promoted to the
desk of Managing Partner, Bryan Lourd. Following CAA, she worked with
prominent film writer/director/producer, Nancy Meyers, and then went on to be Vice President of Production at Radar Pictures.
Prior to creating Ecospire, Davida would help friends and family adopt
environmentally conscious lifestyle habits and promoted awareness for ecofriendly
issues in her spare time. She soon realized that working with people to
incorporate sustainable choices into their lives was her true passion. She soon
embarked on a new career path in Sustainability Consulting and created Ecospire
in July 2008.
Originally from New York, Davida relocated to Los Angeles in 1999 after
graduating from The George Washington University.

Congratulations again and keep up the great work!
