Climate Community Citizen of the Week Award – Casper ter Kuile

Congratulations to Casper ter Kuile this weeks Climate Community Citizen of the Week award winner!

We found Casper through our friends – and prior winners – Emma and Will at ClimateStories.

Casper is the Co-Director of the UK Youth Climate Coalition, and a leading
organiser in the UK youth climate movement. He has campaigned with various
groups, including Oxfam, WWF, People & Planet, which has taken him to
Westminster, Brussels and even the high Arctic. In 2008 he led the first UK
Youth Delegation to the UN climate negotiations, and this year is organising
young people’s activities in the run up to the Copenhagen talks. The UKYCC
has just trained 350 youth climate leaders at Power Shift using the same
ideas as the Obama election campaign, to get people to tell their own
stories. His passion is empowering young people to take effective action on
climate change and building their community at the same time. He has just
graduated from the University of Warwick where he read History and
Sociology, and has recently started working with Futerra Sustainability

The work that Casper and all of his young collegues do is helping to create a voice for young people in the United Kingdom and around the world.  These are the type of leaders who will carry our world forward over the next 20, 30, or more years…

Enjoy this amazing video – again showing the power of people.

So – Congratulations to Casper – and please keep up the amazing work!
