As we think about CO2 in our atmosphere we need a context. The range that might be viewed as normal for human life is from about 180ppm to 280ppm. Today the world is well over 360 or 370ppm and moving higher.
There is an interesting organization calling itself 350.org that is doing its best to create a firm target at 350. I think their efforts are smart and should be discussed in climate education, science classes – and of course with your elected officials.
