In our thinking about tools for the classroom – we will try to provide thoughts on books, as well as movies and other important resources such as the one presented this morning….
For all students – beginning as young as early as ”k” and above one of the movies Planet Earth (which is from Discovery and is several parts) or Earth(which came out from Disney) should be a part of all climate education learning tools. The films were shot in large part together – Earth is much shorter and probably better designed for young students – k thru 5th grade, while Planet Earth is longer – much more detailed and so might be used in middle or high school.
In any case they both present just amazing visual and narative eductional opportunities – for young and old alike!
