Congratulations to Jenna Scatena this weeks Climate Community Citizen of the Week.
Jenna is pursuing a career in writing, covering climate change policy and
environmental and social issues. Jenna first started writing about the
environment for her college magazine, Buzzsaw, in an article about
how America’s reliance on oil and importing food is unsustainable. She’s
also written about the bio-fuel industry for Alternet.org.
She is currently interning at the Apollo Alliance in San Francisco where she writes about renewable energy and domestic manufacturing for their blog and is helping them design social networking strategies.
Once her internship is over, Jenna will continue to write for various
outlets, including The Climate Community, about the impacts of climate
change on our natural environment, economy, social justice and quality of
life.
You can also follow her on Twitter at Jenna_Scatena for updates on environmental news.

Jenna is a recent graduate from Ithaca College (in May of this year) with a BA in nonfiction
writing. She is originally from Marin County and seems very happy to be back on the west coast.
Once again – Congratulations to Jenna – we are looking forward to having her post with us in the near future!
